Qualification Requirements:

  • At least twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years in a similar role within a public or private institution (Note: Internship experience does not count towards the required experience).
  • Active LMFT license as per the requirements stipulated in Business and Professional Code 4980.36.
  • Completed a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities Include:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide clinical treatment interventions, including brief counseling, group therapy, and individual counseling.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care and participate in care planning and coordination.
  • Perform assessments to facilitate transitional care planning, linking patients with community resources and services post-release from the corrections department.
  • Provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy for individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) in both individual and group settings.
  • Develop and contribute to treatment and care plans, monitor patient progress, and coordinate discharges and transfers.
  • Engage with institutional rehabilitative partners and custody staff to assess patient participation and progress in services.
  • Attend case conferences, training sessions, meetings, and committees as directed.
